This is a new translation into English blank verse by Lawrence Grant White. This particular volume is copyrighted 1948. The book has illustrations by Gutave Dore. For a book over 75 years old it is in good condition. There is the expected yellowing of the pages. The illustrations are still sharp. There is a written dedication on one of the opening pages. No other writing was noted in the book. This is a hardback copy showing signs of shelf wear. There is a good deal of fraying around the edges of the book.
