A personal record of the last years and death of Czar Nicholas II and his family from the viewpoint of of Gilliard, formerly tutor to the Czarevitch. Richly illustrated and with photographs. Very rare reprint edition of this stirring memoir providing a rare inside look into the ruling family of Russia, originally published in 1921. Some rubbing/scuffing to covers and slight shelf wear around the edges. Corners bumped. A few instances of mildly split binding though spine is fairly straight and binding remains quite firm on the whole. Some sparse and faint discoloration to outer edges of a few pages.
