Hubley “Trick Dog” Mechanical Bank, Circa 1920

"Trick Dog" cast iron mechanical bank is one of the more ubiquitous banks in the field. The bank is in fair condition and the dog launching mechanism is fully functional. Original paint. It is missing the hoop as well as the bank key. In addition it contains lock trap but one of the clasps to hold in place is broken.

To operate; with the dog in set position, place a penny in his mouth; release the lever (bottom right), the dog aggressively jumps through the hoop being held by the clown, while depositing the coin into the barrel. Coins are removed via the square key lock trap at the bottom. Tip: to set the dog back in place, push down on the lever, then, push the dog in place while slowly letting the lever back in place.

Dimensions: 8 1/2 “ long x 7 1/4" high x 3 1/8" wide
