Rare Antique Royal Satsuma Japanese Hand Painted Lidded Compote & Matching Under Plate w/ Gold Handles. This brilliantly stunning Japanese pottery piece is the real deal Royal Satsuma. It is a lidded tureen with a matching underplate. It features a red dotted moriage texture over a hand painted background. This has beautiful floral designs and I believe the blue section is a bird. All 3 pieces are trimmed in gold. It is 6.75” tall lidded tureen on plate. The tureen measures 7.75” handle to handle. The plate is 8.5" handle to handle. It is in excellent condition for its age there are no cracks, breaks, chips or repairs. This is a really nice item for collectors.
