Set of 12 cards and 12 envelopes.
This is a rare complete set of twelve antique mechanical Valentine’s Day cards featuring six girls and six boys, all with bright lithographed colors and movable tabs that make the figures come to life. The set includes the original vintage envelopes, which are in good condition considering their age. Each card has sweet rhyming Valentine messages and charming illustrations of children with animals in garden scenes.
Please note one card has separated in the back on the fold and another card has light indentation of writing on the stand on the back as shown in the close-up photos.
These cards display beautifully and are highly collectible examples of early 20th-century Valentine ephemera.
Each card measures 8.5” tall by 5” wide.
