This is a unbelievable find of a collection of a 1947 newspaper article and photo that a man was a part of and proudly displayed in his home. At a young age Mr. Davenport worked in a Mercury car dealership in Billings Oregon, he received a call from a man that developed the very cars he sold ( Mr. Henry Ford ) he ask Mr. Davenport to the best car he had on the floor and drive it to a motel to pick up someone. He of course did exactly what Mr. Ford asked of him and got out to open the door for his passenger he quickly released the man he was picking up ( Babe Ruth ) a legendary baseball player. Mr. Ruth was retired at this time and was making a appearance at a professional baseball stadium ( Cobb Field to hand out 50 signed balls to each player. What a privilege it was to experience something like that . You can keep the story a live and own this original material with your collection and put it on display for all to see .
