This is a baton twirling jacket from Passaic Valley High School in Passaic, New Jersey, USA.
Manufactured by the long-established sportswear maker, HEWITT MFG. This is an original piece from the 1960s-70s, featuring thick melton wool typical of the era, chain stitching, and large embroidered patches, making it a jacket with a strong presence.
The back features the large lettering "PASSAIC VALLEY TWIRLER" and the twirler mascot, making it a very rare design even among cheerleading and baton twirling jackets. Highly recommended for those who collect school items and vintage stadium jackets.
While there is a sense of use and aging typical of vintage clothing, it is in good condition considering its age. This item is also suitable for collection and display.
