Designed by Kitty Black Perkins, the former Chief Designer of Fashions & Concepts for Mattel, the Shani line was Mattel’s first independent Black fashion dolls. The last Shani line released was the Soul Train line. Each doll comes dressed in dance fashion and funky African textile clothes. Accessories include: Traditional hair pick, shoes, and colorful stick-on jewels for the dolls.

Never removed from the box. The dolls are in perfect condition. Cosmetically, the boxes are in like-new condition, with minor shelf wear to the exterior. The top of Shani's box has a slight bend.
